The QUEEN Of Country Visits New Boots Line Dancing!

New Boots Line Dancing celebrated 7 years of business this year and to commemorate this achievement we decided to get a little “fancy”. Last week, we invited some of our closest friends and local businesses to experience a New Boots Line Dance lesson, complete with Hattie B’s hot chicken, Diskin Cider, and a drag performance by our favorite local drag queen ObSINity!

The event was held at our studio in Wedgewood Houston and our Senior instructor, Andréa, prepared incredible deserts including an oreo cake, pumpkin cupcakes, and other delicious treats. To accompany these sweet delicacies we served collard greens & cornbread to compliment the hot chicken. It was a feast for the eyes and also for our tummies!

After the lesson was kicked off, our attendees quickly loosened up and got in the groove of line dancing. But little did they know we had a surprise waiting for them outside of the door…

ObSINity performed a rendition of Reba McEntire’s “Fancy” that had the crowd screaming for more. Her red hair, flawless makeup and impeccable dance moves made for a memorable event that will go down in the books as one of our favorites. We can’t wait to have her back to perform again at New Boots Line Dancing!

New Boots highlighted some of their achievements when speaking to guests including the fact that our instructors have taught more than 10,000 students how to line dance since 2016 and hosted corporate functions for companies including Meta, Google, Sony BMG and many others. Owners Jessica & Jimmy cheers to the crowd with Disken Cider and fun was had by everyone in attendence.

We can’t thank our incredible lead instructor Andréa enough for her cooking and baking skills as well as her impeccable party planning expertise. The event included a polaroid photo area, a corn hole area, merchandise as well as delicious food and refreshments.
